Quality Hand Crafted Oak barrels, kegs & more – Each barrel & keg, is individually hand crafted from Rift cut virgin American white Oak using traditional methods. Our craftsmen take great care to retain the Authenticity and Characteristics of a genuine handcrafted Oakwood barrel & keg. As a result no two barrels & kegs are the same. Select from one 2 band options, the “Black Rustic Steel” option provides an authentic rustic patina and aged markings. The “Galvanized Steel” option is an authentic steel colour with rustic characteristics and mild patina. NO WAX OR BLADDERS are used in the production of a genuine Oak barrel & keg therefore some dark Patina may appear which is a byproduct of the sealing process and an authentic characteristic which is often desired.

Fastidious attention and care is paid with each barrel & keg engraving using our state of the art in house laser engraving technology, however every piece of Oak is unique therefore the darkness of the engraving is authentically uncontrollable.
Aroma – Character – Colour
Ageing a wine or spirit in our barrels & kegs has the effect of transmitting the taste of charred white oak into your beverage.
Each barrel & keg is medium charred on the inside to impart earthy notes, aromas and colouring into your wine or spirit. For best results, store in a humid place where it is not exposed to sunlight or heat.
The time required to age your beverage depends on your personal taste. This can be anywhere from a few months to three years.

Traditional methods
Not all Oak barrels & kegs are made equal. Our barrels & kegs are hand crafted using traditional methods, and will seal naturally by filling the barrel & keg with water, water-logging each wooden stave and expanding them into the metal rings until all wooden joints are closed. Genuine Barrels & Kegs do not contain bladders, wax, paint or glue on the inside therefore some dark Patina may appear which is a byproduct of the sealing process and an authentic characteristic which is often desired.
