Watch the oak ageing process through a glass head barrel

A glass head barrel adds theatre to the ageing process. Instead of hiding your wine or spirit inside a traditional oak barrel, the glass heads let you see the oak working over time.

Each item is medium charred to level 3. This helps the oak add flavour, aroma, and colour as your chosen drink rests inside the barrel.

The plain option will suit customers who love the natural look of American oak and want the liquid to be the main feature. It is a strong choice for home bars, offices, man caves, and display shelves.

A glass whisky barrel made for gifting and display

Looking for a unique gift for Christmas, Father’s Day, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, or retirement? A glass whisky barrel feels personal, practical, and memorable.

The 5L option works beautifully as a centrepiece for whisky, rum, bourbon, port, or other spirits. The 1L Glass Head Flask set on an oak display tray offers a smaller display option with the same crafted feel.

You can add a design, keep it plain, or upgrade the piece with your own artwork. It is the kind of gift that family and friends will love, because it feels made for them.

Crafted from genuine oak, not a lined imitation

At Barrel & Bar Gift Factory, our products are made with genuine Rift-Cut American white oak. These are not lined imitation barrels.

The oak is part of the experience. It helps shape the taste, aroma, and colour of your drink while adding natural character to the design.

Both front and back heads are made from 6 mm lead-free, impact-resistant glass. This gives each glass barrel a clean visual finish while keeping the focus on the oak, the liquid, and the ageing process.

Choose your design, or keep it clean

You can choose from a range of design options, supply your own design, or order a plain finish. The plain version is ideal if you want a simple glass barrel that lets the ageing process take centre stage.

For a more personal finish, add names, dates, logos, messages, or custom artwork. This makes each piece a strong purchase for milestone gifting, corporate gifting, and home bar upgrades.

Before you add your item to the cart, review the design options and any custom artwork requirements. This helps our team prepare your order with care.

How to seal and store your glass head barrel

Your barrel is sent unsealed with instructions so you can seal it properly at home. Allow four days for the sealing process before use.

You will need to fill the barrel with water as instructed. This allows the oak to expand and helps the wooden staves seal naturally.

Once sealed, store your barrel in a humid place away from direct sunlight and heat. Good care helps protect the oak and supports better ageing results.
